About Us > Fermanagh Trust - Fermanagh's Community Foundation
The Fermanagh Trust was formally constituted in September 1995 as a private Charitable Trust to promote any charitable purpose and to support initiatives, which lead to social, and community development in the County and hinterlands of Fermanagh. During this historical period the Trust played an invaluable role in supporting grass roots community and voluntary initiatives.
To continue the innovative and valuable work that has been carried out to date, the Trust has established itself as a Community Foundation, with the primary aim of developing an endowment for County Fermanagh. This will ensure that the Trust can continue to support charitable, community, voluntary and peace building endeavours throughout Fermanagh indefinitely. A specific example of the work being undertaken by the Trust is the establishment of the Greg Turley Memorial Fund. The purpose of this fund, which was created following the death of a prominent and much respected teacher, is to establish a fitting tribute that will mark his unique contribution to young people in the community.
